Thadd Eldredge Analysis
From Thadd's June 2 email: Attached is the latest and greatest. A funny thing happened, the location of high water stayed at about the same point, but it extended to the southwest by about 300'. The way I have been measuring the point migration gives the following rates: Gain of 2.9' per day over the past three weeks. Overall loss of 1905 feet at 5.7 feet per day. The mass at the point is a mess. The elevation varies greatly above and below high water. If we ignore the mass buildup, then there is no considerable point migration. We'll see how things pan out with the upcoming high tides. The high water location on the outside is about the same, horizontally. Three weeks ago, this was at the toe of the dune / base of escarpment. Now, the high water location is along a bank, typical for summer beach, and there is a nice flat beach on the upland side to the toe of the dune / base of escarpment.
